After gaining a 1st class degree in maths from the University of Bristol, Ben worked as an investment banker with Deutsche Bank before co-founding Language Connect with Iwona in 2003.

  
Iwona Stepien

Iwona Stepien - Director

Iwona graduated in English Literature/Linguistics from the University of Marie Curie, Lublin, Poland. She moved to London where she achieved a Masters in Communications at the University of Westminster. A talented linguist (she is fluent in three languages and learning Mandarin) her industry experience includes financial services (Investec), media (UPC), consumer (Molton Brown) and market research (Kudos Research).

  
Christina Stüttgen

Christina Stüttgen - Office Manager, Germany

Christina joined Language Connect in 2006 as a Project Manager. Following two promotions, in 2009 she moved to Munich, Germany to open Language Connect’s first overseas office. Christina is a true polyglot: she is a German native, fluent in English and Italian and she also has a good level of understanding of Dutch, Spanish, French, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish!

  
Ingrid Burrowes

Ingrid Burrowes - Sales & Marketing Manager, Australia

Ingrid has a degree in English from Massey University in New Zealand, and completed Post-Graduate studies in Sweden. Resident in London for 10 years, Ingrid was responsible for the seamless delivery of subtitles and dubbed languages for Animal Planet at Discovery Communications Europe. Since relocating to Australia, Ingrid has joined Language Connect’s Melbourne office to continue her career in language services.

Bruce has had a distinguished career in the language services industry and brings a wealth of advice to the Language Connect management team. As the Chief Executive of Language Line, the UK's leading telephone interpreting service for 7 years he has first-hand experience of being a pioneer in the industry turning a former charity into a business and growing a team of 5 people to 150.
