Conference Interpreting
Case study:
Language Connect offers you a one-stop shop for all your conference interpreting or simultaneous interpreting requirements.
- Conference interpreting, or simultaneous interpreting, is where interpreters listen to a speaker in another language and deliver a spoken translation of their speech in another language, in real time. This usually takes place with two interpreters working in pairs per language in a sound-proof booth and the audience wearing headphones with a push button to talk to microphones should they want the interpreter to ask the speaker a question in the language being interpreted.
- Any other kind of interpreting would not be classed as conference or simultaneous interpreting. More information can be found on our interpreting services page.
- We cover in excess of 140 languages and dialects and have our own extensive database of experienced and qualified interpreters to match your industry requirements.
- Conference interpreting will necessitate the hire of specific equipment, namely booths, microphones, headsets, occasionally data projectors, loudspeakers and plasma screens.
- We provide a dedicated account management service for account clients, to facilitate your service provision. To enquire further please contact us.
As a leading interpreting company in the UK, we provide interpreters for hundreds of assignments to private and public sector organisations alike; including Marketing Agencies, Events Management, Pharmaceutical & Medical PR Agencies, for congress, NGOs and the Charities sector. We also supply British Sign Language trained interpreters.
