Quentin is our Managing Director and arrived as we were acquired by the e-commerce giant, THG, in July 2018.  Quentin has a long history of experience in finance, defence and e-commerce retail. He has previously worked at Goldman Sachs and has both an MBA from Cranfield University and an MA from King’s College London. He was appointed MBE in 2004, speaks Nepali from his many years serving with the Gurkhas.

David is our Global Sales Director, since 2011 he has been responsible for building our global sales team and driving our growth across all territories. His solution sales approach has enabled him to develop long-term value adding partnerships across a wide range of business sectors. As an accredited coach he is experienced in developing and empowering high performing teams with a customer centric focus.

Omar is our Business Development Director who is responsible for the new business team at Language Connect. Omar has over 10 years’ experience of managing high profile multi-million pound client accounts across a range of verticals within the language translations industry. His expertise ensures that Language Connect partners with our clients to maximise their ROI through improvements in translation process, cost savings, workflow and where continuous improvement lies as the back bone of any engagement and strategy. Omar holds a Bachelors in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh.

Karen is our market research industry guru. She obtained a 2:1 BA (Hons) in European Studies with Spanish from Durham University. During her degree she also completed an Erasmus placement at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. She has first-hand experience handling translation work for market research clients and specialises in medical and pharmaceutical work. Karen joined Language Connect in 2010 and speaks Spanish and English.

Kate heads up our finance team and is a CIMA-trained management accountant. Originally from Australia, she holds a BA in Language Studies from Edith Cowan University, majoring in French and Japanese, as well as a Diploma of Business from Curtin University. Kate has worked in the translation industry since 2005, and has a wealth of business experience from previously running the books for mining, education, IT, arts, and professional membership organisations.

Baxter holds a double degree in Chemistry and Biology and an MBA in Marketing.  Following an impressive career in Market Research, Baxter leads our business activities in Asia Pacific and is based in our office in Singapore. He speaks English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hokkien, Hakka, Malay and Thai.

Federica heads up our UK Market Research team and holds a BA degree in Modern Languages, as well as a Master degree in Conference Interpreting. After having lived in Italy, Spain and Russia and worked as a freelance interpreter and translator, she landed in London and joined Language Connect in 2012. Federica speaks Italian, English, Spanish and Russian.

Silvia is a “client relationship builder” at Language Connect, with a Masters in Applied Communication/ Translation Studies. She is also a former international healthcare/ pharma market researcher and covered various other roles within the international healthcare market research arena, so quite frankly language, translation and market research are very dear to her heart. Originally from Germany Silvia is fluent in German, English and Spanish.

Mickey is in charge of US sales and business development for new and existing clients. A 20 year market research veteran, he has experience as a research analyst and sales professional and brings an expansive and intimate knowledge of the US marketplace. He is passionate about working with clients to think outside of the box and embrace innovative tools and strategies to create value and efficiencies.

Christelle holds a master’s degree in Communications and a post graduate degree in Human Resource Management. Christelle is from Luxembourg and is our Market Research expert with over 12 years experience in this sector. She joined Language Connect in August 2016 and is responsible for operations within the German office and its multi-regional clients. Christelle is fluent in Luxembourgish, French, German and English.

Chiara heads up our translation team and holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Bologna. She also obtained a distinction in her master’s degree in Translation Studies from the University of Birmingham. Chiara joined Language Connect in 2011 and speaks Italian, German and English.

Moe acquired a BSc. in Architecture from Alexandria University, and then changed careers after studying translation in the American University in Cairo – AUC. He has worked in the language sector in the Middle East and Australia and previously headed up our operations in Istanbul before starting our operations in Dubai in 2016. Moe speaks Arabic, Turkish and English.

Cecil is our Global Technology Manager and arrived at Language Connect in March 2017.  Cecil has been involved with the language services industry for over 20 years on both Supplier and Client side, and specialises in providing technology solutions for our clients to meet the specific needs of their business – including API connectivity, Machine Translation or Integration projects or various other elements in the translation life cycle.
