Christmas charity bake-off
Hayley and Evi have kindly organised a Language Connect Christmas Bake Off to raise money to support two of our local charities, The Passage Centre and Kids Company. As we take both cake and charity very seriously at Language Connect, the bake-off competition was fierce with David’s carrot cake winning the overall votes.
In addition to the cake sale to raise funds, colleagues were invited to donate clothing for The Passage Centre, a local charity supporting homeless people in the Southwark area. We work with the charity to provide interpreters for homeless foreigners and today we are pleased to be able to support the cause with donations in kind and welcome the charity to our offices.
Kids Company is a well known charity working, providing practical, emotional and educational support to 36,000 vulnerable inner-city children. Our fund-raising will contribute to the purchase of Christmas presents for local children supported by the charity.
