Interpreting Team hosts festive gathering
Following our recent office move, we invited our interpreters to join us for a Christmas gathering in our new basement office to celebrate another great year of growth.
Many of those who came along to the gathering are regular interpreters for our long-standing client Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust and were pleased to hear that we are giving something back once again this year by donating money to Tommy’s, the Trust’s charity which funds medical research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth and provides information on having a healthy pregnancy.
It’s been the team’s busiest year yet by far, with 27,000 face-to-face bookings covered for the NHS alone across South London and Kent, in 70 different languages and dialects, so this was our chance to thank the interpreters for all their hard work and commitment in 2014. We were also pleased to welcome any colleagues of theirs with an interest in registering with us, as the ever-increasing demand from our clients means that our pool of interpreters must grow just as quickly.
The evening was a resounding success, with many festive treats consumed and the constant chatter you would expect of a room of people who talk for a living!
