Delivering simultaneous interpreting at a crucial investor presentation for a global food brand
Our client is one of the world’s largest independent financial advisory groups, advising on mergers and acquisitions in 40+ countries around the world.
The client was the adviser to a Chinese company during a prominent acquisition bid over the course of a year. A four day conference and seven sets of presentations were conducted during the tender process, throughout which, simultaneous interpretation and corresponding equipment (booths, mics, headsets) was required for the visiting Chinese delegation.
At a time when clear communication and attendee engagement is of paramount importance, translation and interpretation can mean the difference between success and disaster.
Consideration for the equipment used needed to be given in order to facilitate the four day schedule across different venues each day. Due to the long duration of the daily programme, two highly skilled simultaneous linguists with a solid financial background were required.
Language Connect delivered a seamless service, combining highly skilled interpreters with experience in financial services with full project management of equipment and logistics.
A rigorous selection process ensured that both interpreters had significant sector experience, held the relevant professional qualifications, were confident and reliable to support such a critical event.
Throughout the event, our dedicated project manager was in contact with the interpreters and the client’s organiser to ensure that everything went smoothly and managed any last minute changes to requirements.
As a result of the quality and professionalism of the interpreting service delivered, the client immediately booked Language Connect for two further assignments of a similar nature, even specifically requesting the same two interpreters in both instances.
Language Connect provides a reliable and trustworthy service. We were impressed by how seamlessly the interpreters became part of the team and were pleased to be able to book them for further assignments.
